Our Story
Emily began her career in a large office environment, where she became increasingly fascinated by the relationship between dogs and the people who own them. As she explored the research, one finding kept standing out: dogs in the workplace measurably reduce stress, boost morale, and improve overall wellbeing. The evidence was compelling, yet very few businesses were acting on it.
The reason wasn't scepticism. It was complexity. Policies, risk assessments, behaviour considerations, and the practicalities of day-to-day management made the whole idea feel out of reach for most organisations. The benefits were clear; the path to get there wasn't.
That gap led to the creation of The Office Dog.
The premise was straightforward: give businesses everything they need to introduce dogs into the workplace properly - structured, safe, and inclusive - so the benefits are real and the risks are managed from day one.
At the same time, the world of work was shifting. The pandemic brought a wave of new dog owners who worked from home. Now, as office attendance rises again, those same employees face a genuine tension: returning to the workplace while navigating the needs of a dog that's never known anything else.
